The project of socio-economic reintegration of people affected by leprosy has made it possible implementation various actions such as: the establishment of self-help associations of people affected by leprosy, the training of members of associations on the consolidation of associations and the management of micro-projects. After three years of implementation, expected results of the project were achieved in relation to the problem of leprosy on the consolidation of solidarity between the members of the associations. The members of the associations are proud to belong to an association and the associative life, they came out of the isolation, help each other and share the knowledge. Their health status improved significantly and skin patches disappeared in most of the association members.
